At Bacchus Marsh Childcare & Kindergarten, we seek a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Assistant Educator to join our friendly team. You will be working with a positive, caring, dedicated, and supportive team in a centre with a focus on wellbeing and where we encourage teamwork and communication. Responsibilities: Facilitate the learning experiences for your allocated group of children Be part of a collaborative teaching environment Maintain effective communication with the parents throughout the service Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs Create a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment Maintain positive working relationships with all team members Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times Qualifications and Experience: A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Current Working with Children's Check Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Certificates 1 year experience working within an early childhood setting (recommended but not essential) Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework Understanding and knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child Protection Excellent verbal and written communication skills ideally with experience writing learning stories and observations A cooperative team player who loves and respects children in all their individuality and developmental stages The ability to create meaningful relationships with our children, families, and fellow educators The ability to assist in providing high-quality educational experiences The enthusiasm to be proactive in implementing curriculum Help assist, develop and implement a stimulating and engaging curriculum Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and communities Work as part of a team to ensure the care, supervision, and education of children is met Operate within the requirements of the services policies and procedures Benefits 50% discount on child care fees, available upon commencement Work with a friendly and supportive team A supportive working environment that values a healthy work/life balance Career development and advancement opportunities Excellent opportunities for Professional Development and training Positive welcoming culture Selection Criteria We require that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement such as: A national criminal history check; Two reference checks; If you have a passion for the early learning sector and working with the young children of our communities, we would love to hear from you.
