We are seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Bookkeeper to join their team. About the opportunity: As a Bookkeeper within this firm, you will be a vital link in the accounting function. You won't just be processing numbers; you will be building genuine relationships with a diverse client base and working alongside a supportive admin and accounting team. Key Responsibilities include: Transaction Management: Accurately recording all financial transactions (sales, purchases, and payments) using modern cloud tools. AP/AR & Reconciliations: Managing invoices, tracking money owed, and performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure 100% accuracy. Compliance & Reporting: Calculating and preparing BAS and IAS for lodgement with the ATO, and providing payroll and superannuation support. Client Engagement: Serving as a trusted point of contact, building strong working relationships, and delivering on promises. Reporting: Generating financial reports to help clients understand their business performance. Workflow: Proactively managing your daily tasks to meet all deadlines with a "team-first" attitude. What You’ll Bring: We are looking for a technically sound Bookkeeper who is ethical, professional, and possesses a high level of commercial acumen. Essential Criteria: Proven Experience: At least 2 years in a dedicated bookkeeping role, preferably within an accounting firm or multi-client environment. Software Proficiency: Strong, hands-on experience with Xero is essential. Familiarity with Dext and Hubdoc is highly regarded. Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of Australian tax and superannuation laws. Soft Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Approach: A professional, ethical, and client-first mindset.
