For over 40 years, we’ve built our reputation the old-fashioned way - turning up, working hard, doing things properly and standing by what we deliver. Our name is built on quality, accountability and backing our people to take ownership of their work. Behind that reputation is a serious fleet. We’re talking large scale earthmoving gear that most fitters only see in photos – scrapers, dozers, rigid and articulated dump trucks, excavators, graders, compactors, transport gear and support plant - all maintained in house by people who know their machinery and take pride in keeping it right. As our fleet and workload continue to grow, we are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to support our busy Workshop Manager and help keep over 50 assets running safely and efficiently. The Role - this is not a desk only admin job. You will be in the workshop, on the phone, on the computer, liaising with sites and subcontractors, and supporting mechanical decisions. It suits someone who understands heavy plant and planned maintenance and wants to step into a coordination role without losing touch with the machinery. Your responsibilities will include: Scheduling servicing and planned maintenance for 50 heavy assets Coordinating site access, inductions and downtime with Site Managers and Superintendents Liaising with subcontractors and field servicepeople to plan and communicate works Assisting with fault finding, diagnostics and interpreting parts schematics and machinery drawings Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate service records Monitoring equipment issues and prioritising repairs to minimise downtime Ensuring equipment compliance with site and safety requirements Managing compliance registers (tyres, fire extinguishers, inspections and service items) This role suits someone who values variety, understands that planned maintenance prevents chaos, and takes responsibility for the condition of the fleet. About You We’re looking for someone with real heavy plant experience - not just theory. You’ll bring: Experience as a Diesel Fitter working on heavy plant Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability Solid organisational skills – you can juggle jobs without dropping the ball Clear communication skills – workshop, site and subcontractor coordination Computer competency – service systems, purchase orders, registers Reliability, self motivation and a strong safety focus Current driver’s licence If you’ve worked in civil construction, mining support or large earthmoving fleets, you’ll understand the pace and the standards expected.
