This is a Mosart Director role with The West Australian based in Melbourne, VIC, AU The West Australian Role Seniority - mid level More about the Mosart Director role at The West Australian A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a Mosart Director to join the Seven Melbourne News team. The position is responsible for directing Melbourne’s afternoon and nightly Seven News Bulletins, updates and rolling news coverage. This role works with Seven’s specialised Automated MOSART Control Room and Studio along with a GVG Karrera vision mixer. Based at Melbourne Quarter Tower and reporting to the Manager Production Services you will: Deliver and maintain the “look” and “feel” of the Bulletin Prepare the Automation playlist in conjunction with the Line Producer Direct and Co-ordinate the news Bulletin to Air based on the i-News Rundown React to changes to Live and Ad hoc rundown changes Seven operates a Pilot and Co-Pilot configuration Observe timing and appropriately react to Producer instructions Operate as required and react to in bulletin change and technical failure Prepare and direct Daily News and other programming including, interview shows and hosting’s as scheduled Provide aesthetic direction to programs in accordance with production brief You have: Demonstrated knowledge and experience of MOSART mixing desk, proficiency working with Automated Production systems and NRCS rundown preparation Previous experience with the setup and operation of GVG mixers Strong communication skills and are calm under pressure The ability to form productive relationships with presenters, producers, studio crew and reporters.
