About The Role We are seeking a Bookings Officer to join our Call Centre in Cairns. This role is predominantly phone based and includes full training to help you learn our locations, systems and booking processes. You will be responsible for making patient appointments across the Cairns region and providing exceptional customer service. This position is based at our Cairns Private Hospital practice. About You Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to actively listen, demonstrated empathy and consistently deliver high quality customer service. Previous experience in customer service or a call centre environment, ideally within radiology or healthcare is advantageous but not essential. A positive “can-do” attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating compassion, patience and professionalism at all times. Strong problem solving skills with ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demand effectively. Demonstrated capacity to manage high volume call workloads (approximately 60-100 calls per day) while maintaining service excellence and accuracy. Thrives in a fast paced, energetic and occasionally noisy work environment. High attention to detail, a strong commitment to confidentiality and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
