Due to the participant’s personal care needs and expressed preference, male support workers are encouraged to apply . The participant lives with a large, friendly dog , so applicants must be confident and comfortable working in a dog‑friendly environment. About the Role This role supports a female participant with daily living, community access, and capacity‑building activities. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays, paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award (Casual) . Key Responsibilities Personal care, grooming, and daily living support Medication assistance (in line with training and policy) Domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation Community access and social participation Manual handling tasks (training provided if required) Driving the participant in the client’s vehicle Maintaining accurate shift notes and following NDIS Code of Conduct Essential Requirements Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent Experience with personal care and medication assistance Comfortable and confident with large dogs Current NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card) Current Blue Card (Working With Children Check) Current First Aid & CPR Valid driver’s licence and willingness to drive the client’s vehicle Two recent, contactable professional referees Strong communication skills and a person‑centred approach Desirable Experience supporting female participants Manual handling training Understanding of NDIS documentation and compliance What We Offer SCHADS Award casual rates Supportive and professional team Ongoing training and development Meaningful work that empowers participants to live independently How to Apply Please submit your resume and two referees via email echcs.com.au Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview.
