About the Role: To support our goals, we are looking for an experienced Trailer/ Dolly Mechanic for our busy Kewdale workshop, working Monday to Friday. This role is an essential part of the business as it ensures our fleet stays roadworthy and able to continue to provide a continuous service to our clients. Although no day is the same, a typical week would see the successful person servicing trailers and Dolly's in line with WA Mainroads and National Heavy Vehicle standards, supporting repair requests, general fleet maintenance and project work. Proven experience working as a mechanic on service, repair, and diagnosis of trailer repairs. Tech savvy, able to operate iPads, and knowledge of using Gearbox preferred, but training to be provided. Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry and the regulations that we operate in. A solid understanding of the importance of service records and requirements in relation to industry audits. Valid Licence - MC is desirable Job tasks and responsibilities: Service and repair of all fleet vehicles. Electronically maintain the service and repair records of our fleet. Scheduled servicing and routine maintenance of our fleet – Prime Movers, Rigid Trucks, Trailers, Dollies, Forklifts and Light Vehicles. Attending to urgent breakdowns. Inspection of received parts prior to installation on fleet. Proactively keep stock parts replenished and controlled.
