Position Vacant – Casual Trades Assistant (Cairns South) Location Edmonton, Cairns, QLD 4869 Immediate Start 32 Hours p/w Mon-Thurs Maxitool Australia is a locally owned business which specialises in the design and manufacture of mining and other bespoke equipment. We are currently seeking a Casual Trades Assistant for our workshop in Edmonton. Duties will include: General cleaning and labour support across the workshop and yard Organising, cleaning and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace Pick up and delivery of equipment Safely operating a forklift to move and store materials and equipment Supporting the workshop operations Assist with routine repairs & maintenance of workshop equipment Skills & Experience Preferred: Hard working and self-motivated Team player Punctual and reliable Dedicated commitment to safety & quality Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol test Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods Demonstrated experience as a trade assistant * This position may be suitable to a school leaver without experience if you are able to meet the other requirements We are looking for an individual who displays a “Can Do” attitude, who can demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role.
