Full-time Collaborative and innovative working environment Join a school committed to student and staff wellbeing About the role Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar School, presents an opportunity for a n experienced Early Learning Coordinator to join our Junior School team on a full-time, fixed-term basis, as a parental leave replacement, commencing in June 2026. The Camberwell Girls Grammar School Early Learning Centre (ELC) provides a high-quality early childhood education program for 3 and 4-year-old girls and boys in a purpose-built, architecturally designed facility. The ELC offers a rich blend of play-based, inquiry-led learning alongside a structured early literacy and numeracy program. Specialist subjects, including Art, Library, Music , Physical Education and Service Learning , are integrated into the Early Learning program, supporting a holistic approach to early childhood development. This role is a combined teaching and coordination position, comprising approximately 0.6 FTE classroom teaching and 0.4 FTE coordination time, with classroom coverage provided . Reporting to the Head of Junior School, the Early Learning Coordinator is responsible for leading the educational outcomes and day-to-day operations of the Early Learning Centre, while modelling best practice in early childhood pedagogy aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). About you The successful applicant will be an experienced Early Childhood educator with strong leadership capability, a passion for early learning, and the ability to support, mentor and inspire a collaborative team of educators. A strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing, inclusive practice and the School’s values is essential. You will have: Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education Current registration with Victorian Institute of Teaching Demonstrated experience teaching in an early learning or early childhood setting Experience in a leadership or coordination role, including mentoring educators, leading curriculum documentation, professional learning, and in-depth understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements, and policies. Strong working knowledge of National law and regulations, National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Child Safe Standards, and evidence-based early years pedagogy.
