Description Production Supervisor Location: Adelaide, Australia | Full Time Help reinvent how the world builds solar 5B is an Australian technology company transforming large-scale solar through the 5B Maverick Solution — a prefabricated, high-speed, structurally and materially efficient approach to solar farm deployment. Backed by AUD 46 million in ARENA funding, we are executing an ambitious manufacturing, R&D, and product program to push the boundaries of how solar farms are built. As we expand our Adelaide operations and open our second factory, we are seeking a Production Supervisor to play a key role in scaling Australian manufacturing and supporting the next generation of Maverick solutions. The opportunity Reporting to the Adelaide Operations Manager and sitting within the Supply Chain team, this role is central to ramping up manufacturing capability in Adelaide. You will lead shop-floor operations, supervise teams, and drive safe, efficient, and high-quality production of components and Maverick assemblies. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances people management with operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. What you will do • Supervise manufacturing and assembly operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity • Report on daily productivity and support achievement of operational targets • Lead, coach, and support Team Leaders and line leaders on the shop floor • Manage communication, training, and performance of a large and diverse workforce • Drive lean manufacturing, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives • Support onboarding and training of new employees and maintain the Skills Matrix • Provide practical engineering and problem-solving support to reduce downtime and deviations About you Qualifications • Degree or Certificate qualification in Leadership, Supervision, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Experience • Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment • Experience managing complex operations and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders Key skills and attributes • Strong people leadership and coaching capability • Ability to adapt to change and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment • Aptitude for providing engineering or technical support on the shop floor • Passion for building high-performing teams through training and development • Experience implementing lean tools such as visual management to support continuous improvement Why 5B At 5B, you will work on globally impactful technology with a team that values first principles thinking, speed, and practical innovation.
