Position Profile: Perth Children’s Hospital is seeking a Hydrotherapy Pool Supervisor to join our Physiotherapy Department and provide both clinical and operational support in the delivery of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services. Operational support: You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hydrotherapy facility, ensuring the hydrotherapy pool operates safely, compliantly and efficiently. This includes monitoring water quality, managing chemical adjustments in the plant room, and maintaining accurate records. You will be required to liaise with PCH facilities management to assist with maintaining operational needs of the hydrotherapy pool. Water quality testing is performed as per standard codes of practice to maintain compliance. Clinical Support: Our specialised team support children with a range of orthopaedic, neurological and complex needs through individual and group-based aquatic and land-based therapy programs. Under the direction of a Physiotherapist, you may deliver supervised group or individual clinical intervention programs and provide direct patient support, including assisting children into and out of the pool using appropriate manual handling techniques and hoists. You will be responsible for ensuring the hydrotherapy facility is ready for patients and staff throughout a treatment appointment. You will provide pool safety supervision and may be required to work both in and out of the water during therapy sessions. Key responsibilities include: Managing the safety, cleanliness and daily operation of the hydrotherapy facility, including: Pool water sampling, testing, record keeping and chemical adjustment Compliance with HDWA Code of Practice and Australian Standards Liaison with local council and maintenance of plant equipment Preparing patients, treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions. Assisting patients with dressing, showering, pool entry and exit, and transport patients to and from wards. Ordering, restocking, maintaining and monitoring stock and equipment for the department. Processing of invoices for payment. Maintaining infection control of therapeutic equipment used by Physiotherapists throughout the hospital. Maintenance of clinical care spaces throughout the allied health suite (including stocking linen, monitoring oxygen and suction units and room consumables). Participating in training, competency renewal and quality and safety activities. Organisation of Physiotherapy equipment servicing and maintenance through PCH facilities management.
