Communications & Change Specialist - IT Transformation Australian Citizenship Required Canberra | Federal Government Environment We are seeking an experienced Communications and Change Specialist to support the successful delivery of a major IT and business transformation initiative within a Federal Government environment. In this role, you will design and deliver targeted communications and change management activities that support the adoption of new systems, data platforms and business processes. You will work closely with leadership, technical teams and business stakeholders to translate complex change into clear messages and practical outcomes. The Role Design and deliver communications and change management activities for IT and analytics initiatives Assess change impacts and support business adoption of new systems and platforms Prepare executive and board-level briefings, papers and presentations Coordinate governance inputs, timelines and program milestones Translate complex technical and analytics concepts into clear business communications Develop training and capability uplift activities to support workforce readiness Work closely with project and program teams to align change activities with delivery plans About You Proven experience delivering communications and change management activities for IT or digital initiatives Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business, leadership and technical teams Experience translating technical change into clear business impacts and messaging Ability to support executive-level reporting, briefings and governance activities Experience developing training or capability uplift programs Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced program environments Australian Citizenship is mandatory Desirable Experience Experience supporting large-scale data, analytics or technology transformation programs Familiarity with structured change management approaches (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR or similar) Experience working within a government or highly regulated environment This role is ideal for a collaborative and delivery-focused Change and Communications professional who enjoys working across technical and business teams to support successful transformation outcomes.
