About the Role As Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities include: Lead the development, implementation and review of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and adjustments. Lead the development, implementation and review of Multi Tiered Systems of Support. Provide expert advice and coaching/mentoring to staff on differentiation, Universal Design for Learning and inclusive practices. Coordinate NCCD processes and ensure accurate documentation and compliance. Work closely with classroom teachers, support staff and specialist services to build collective capability. Partner with families and external agencies to support positive student outcomes. Contribute as a member of the school leadership team to support whole-school improvement priorities. Skills and Experience: We are looking for our next Head of Special Education Services to have: Experience supporting students with disability and diverse learning needs. Strong knowledge of inclusive education and reasonable adjustments. Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively. Desirable Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a HOSES or similar leadership role. Qualifications or training in special education or inclusive practice.
