The Senior Education Officer works as part of the Education team to develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-linked education and interpretive programs and learning resources for a diverse audience in a museum environment, both online and onsite. The work involves operational supervision and training of staff, project work, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The key duties of the position include: Under general direction in a team, or as project coordinator or supervisor, perform a range of tasks including: Development, delivery, and ongoing evaluation of a range of interpretive outreach and onsite education programs for school age groups, and general visitors Recruitment, training and supervision of staff involved in the delivery of programs Coordination of program bookings and rostering administration Contribution to specific projects both within the Education team and the wider section, and Memorial Contribution to evaluation, strategic planning, and reporting activities Eligibility Mandatory Requirements Relevant tertiary Education qualification or experience of digital and onsite learning in a museum environment, as well as an experience working with bookings systems and rostering is highly desirable for this role.
