Our client BAINS FAMILY TRUST is seeking a full-time Irrigationist to manage and maintain efficient irrigation systems across their farm, ensuring optimal water use and crop performance. This role involves monitoring soil moisture and weather conditions, operating and maintaining irrigation infrastructure, scheduling irrigation programs, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting sustainable water management practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with agricultural irrigation systems, a strong understanding of water efficiency and crop requirements, and a practical, problem-solving approach to working in a farm environment. Main Duties · Calculate and analyze hydraulic parameters for irrigation systems. · Develop and implement irrigation programs and plans. · Plan and schedule irrigation operations efficiently. · Select, operate, and manage irrigation pumping systems. · Interpret irrigation designs and apply them effectively in the field. · Supervise the installation of irrigation systems to ensure compliance with design specifications. · Oversee maintenance and ensure proper functioning of irrigation systems.
