About the role: As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll ensure payroll process is completed timely and accurately while maintaining full compliance with New Zealand and Australian tax and employment legislation. You’ll share responsibility for managing efficient payroll delivery across our manufacturing, café, and corporate teams, managing both monthly and weekly payroll cycles, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity. You'll also: Partner with various stakeholders and collate relevant data inputs including timesheets, People & Culture communications, new starters, terminations and leave reports Carry out complex payroll calculations and transactions such as bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice, variable pay, terminations, redundancy and other payments as required Provide expert advice to the wider business on a range of payroll-related matters, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of Australian and NZ payroll legislation and also ensuring that payroll compliance is kept up to date Troubleshoot and respond to employee payroll queries in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate communication style and delivery Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll processing, ideally in FMCG and sound working knowledge of both New Zealand and Australian payroll legislation. You are confident in managing monthly and weekly payroll cycles, and while experience in iChris Frontier is an advantage, it’s not essential. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, delivering high‑quality customer service and building trusted relationships across the business. You’re highly organised, adaptable, and a strong team player. You’re a natural problem‑solver who can communicate complex payroll matters with clarity and confidence. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be handling stakeholder queries independently. We’re also looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a talent for identifying efficiencies, always looking for opportunities to improve processes and systems. What we offer?
