About The Role We are seeking a reliable and community-minded driver to support our Food Market. In this part-time role, you will collect, deliver, and assist with the safe storage of donated goods from charitable partners, helping to ensure market shelves are well-stocked and accessible for community members who rely on essential items. The role requires availability 12 hours per week, on Tuesdays from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm and Thursdays from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. How You Will Make An Impact Coordinating the daily schedule of pick-ups and deliveries of donated food itemsTransport donations from local charitable partners, including the safe collection, careful transportation to minimise spoilage, delivery, and verification of donated food itemsUnload, receive, and check incoming goods.Pick and deliver loads to market as required.Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with Goulburn Corps charitable partners, ensuring they have a constructive and professional experience with The Salvation Army.Operate the vehicle in a safe and effective manner, minimising the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle inside/outsidePerform a range of general support tasks as required, including stocking shelves, assessing and rotating perishable food items, disposing of waste, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
