YOUR ROLE As a SOC Security Engineer, you will play a critical role within our Security Operations Centre (SOC), delivering and optimising advanced security monitoring capabilities for enterprise and government clients. You will lead the deployment, configuration and enhancement of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender and Google SecOps technologies, helping organisations detect, prevent and respond to sophisticated cyber threats. Acting as a technical SME, you will support escalations, strengthen detection engineering capability and continuously improve SOC processes and automation. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to work on real-world, high-impact security challenges. YOU’LL • Deploy, configure and optimise Microsoft Sentinel, Defender and Google SecOps solutions • Design and build detection use cases, automations and response workflows • Develop KQL queries, rules and dashboards to strengthen threat visibility • Build and deploy Azure Logic Apps and automation playbooks • Support security tooling across SIEM, EDR and broader SecOps platforms • Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and support technical escalations • Own and deliver engineering projects to a high standard and within timelines • Continuously improve monitoring coverage, detection capability and SOC documentation • Stay ahead of emerging threats and evolving attack techniques WHAT YOU’LL BRING • 2 years’ experience in a SOC Security Engineering or related role • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and/or Google SecOps • Experience with Microsoft Defender and modern EDR/SIEM platforms • Strong working knowledge of KQL and detection rule development • Experience with SOAR, scripting and security automation • Exposure to Azure Logic Apps / Function Apps • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, methodologies and best practice • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving capability • Confidence engaging with technical stakeholders and explaining security concepts clearly • Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments • Microsoft certifications (SC-200, MS-500, AZ-500) highly regarded • SOC experience strongly preferred WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY After you have applied, you will receive an email acknowledging your application.
