Join our team at the Veterinary Referral Hospital for a 12-18-month Veterinary Radiology Internship. 12-18 month program Start 3rd of August 2026 The Veterinary Referral Hospital is a modern multi-disciplinary referral hospital and emergency clinic. The internship will enable the successful applicant to be mentored and receive exposure to specialist radiological practice. The internship will involve mentoring in ultrasound and radiograph acquisition and interpretation- as well as exposure to advanced imaging. Interns who perform exceptionally in the program would move into our residency program, as our previous intern has done. Having access to our team of specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Internal Medicine and Neurology, coupled with world class facilities and equipment, will afford you the opportunity to achieve your potential. Our facilities include fluoroscopy, CT, a 1.5T MRI, ultrasound and radiography. Your New Role The department-specific internships will enable the successful applicants to advance their knowledge and gain skills in key aspects of the veterinary industry in a modern, world class facility. You will work a flexible roster based on the needs of the Department, but essentially it is a day shift roster Monday to Friday for 4 days per week (working full time hours). Working under supervision, there will be the opportunity to engage directly and frequently with the radiologists and other departmental specialists. Journal reviews and the writing of papers will be encouraged and supported as part of further learning. Suitable for a vet interested in further pursuing a career in radiology and seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in radiology. This position is targeted at someone with radiology memberships or someone who has signed up to sit memberships in radiology in 2026/2027. About You A Veterinary degree registerable in Victoria A minimum 1-2 years experience – this is not a position suitable for new graduates. A completed rotating internship prior is ideal A genuine desire to be a part of our team practising the highest standards in veterinary care Have achieved memberships in Small Animal Radiology or being enrolled to sit in 2026 or 2027 Passion and self-motivation for continuing education Exceptional organisation and communication skills and a flexible, adaptable, positive attitude with a focus on teamwork Why Should You Join the VRH Team?
