About Us: Hotel Metropole operates a dynamic multi-site retail liquor network across three outlets – Cheers Liquor Barn, Drive Through, and Cheers Bottle Shop at Fresh Fields Shopping Centre. Collectively, these high-performing, community-driven outlets provide a comprehensive range of beer, wine, and spirits. They uphold strong retail standards while delivering outstanding service to both locals and visitors seven days a week. The Role: As the Retail Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our bottleshop locations. You’ll lead by example, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and driving sales to achieve business goals. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of retail team, fostering a positive work environment. Manage daily operations, including inventory control, merchandising, shrinkage and roster scheduling. Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing regulations. Drive sales and profitability through excellent customer service and strategic planning. Monitor and analyse sales performance, implementing improvements where needed. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. About You: Minimum of 2 years management experience in a retail or bottleshop environment. Proven experience in the liquor, FMCG or hospitality industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Knowledge of liquor products and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
