ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Technical Designer on a 12 month fixed-term Part Time contract (3 days per week) with Kidswear experience to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional fit, quality, and consistency for our garments. In this role, you will ensure that every product meets our high standards and resonates with our customers. You will provide expert technical advice, create patterns, and maintain grade rules to ensure consistency in fit and sizing. Collaborating closely with suppliers and product teams, you will oversee garment construction, offer cost-effective solutions, and support the delivery of products that our customers love. By fostering strong relationships, sharing knowledge, and mentoring Product Developers, you will contribute to a high-performing, values-driven culture. This role is perfect for someone passionate about combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving to achieve outstanding results. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Min 5yrs experience in a related field Technical Design / Garment Tech / Product Development. Experience in Kidswear with Global retailers an advantage. Expertise in garment fit, pattern making, and garment construction. Proficiency in digital Pattern Making Lectra an advantage, with Adobe/CAD knowledge being advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Programs Powerpoint / Excel Strong knowledge of fabrics, fibers, and accurate garment measuring. Experience working with overseas suppliers and maintaining quality standards. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement. Personal effectiveness and a commitment to excellence in execution. Proven ability to mentor others, build relationships, and champion a positive culture. Strong initiative and commercial acumen.
