Up In Stone is a specialist stonemasonry company delivering high-quality stonework across residential and commercial projects. We work closely with builders, architects and developers to create feature walls, stone cladding, retaining walls and bespoke stone installations. We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Stonemason to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality craftsmanship across a variety of projects. Responsibilities and Tasks: Accurately interpreting architectural plans, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine material requirements and cutting layouts. Operating and maintaining stone fabrication tools such as wet saws, grinders, and polishers to cut and shape natural and engineered stone with precision. Installing custom stone features, including benchtops, vanities, panels, cladding, and facades, with a focus on alignment, structural integrity, and visual quality. Handling and transporting heavy stone components safely using lifting equipment and correct manual handling techniques. Applying sealants, adhesives, and polishing compounds to ensure water resistance, durability, and a high-quality finish. Following all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and complying with relevant Australian standards on every site. Performing inspections during fabrication and installation phases to check measurements, levels, and finishing details. Advising on stone selection based on material properties, project goals, and desired visual outcomes. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification in stonemasonry or equivalent (as per Australian standards). Minimum of 1 years' of experience in stonemasonry. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
