We are seeking compassionate and skilled Family and Child Connect Case Workers to provide support to vulnerable families. This role provides high-quality assessment, advice, and referral services to families, supporting them to navigate challenges such as child behaviour, family relationships, housing, and access to community services. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake, engagement, and assessment of families’ needs using culturally safe and strengths-based approaches. Provide advice, information, and referrals to appropriate support services. Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, including government and non-government service providers, to ensure coordinated care. Respond to urgent or complex situations, including risk assessment and escalation where necessary. Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, case notes, and reports in line with professional standards. Participate in ongoing professional development, supervision, and reflective practice to maintain high-quality service delivery. Role Requirements Experience in youth work, community services, casework, or related field. Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural frameworks and family systems. Skills in trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based practice. Ability to develop, implement, and review SRPs with young people and families. Strong communication, collaboration, time management, and record-keeping skills. Probity Requirements Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or related field Current QLD Driver Licence Possession of, or ability to obtain, a ‘Positive Notice’ Blue Card (Working with Children Check). First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain (the employer will cover this cost). Willingness to undergo a National Police and Criminal History Check (the employer will cover this cost).
