We are a well-established Privately owned Mixed Billing and Accredited General Practice in Toowoomba. We currently have 5 General Practitioners and believe in working collaboratively with our Clinical and Administrative teams to strive for excellence as we provide progressive health care services to our local community. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and friendly Practice Nurse (RN) to work in our well-equipped treatment room, assist with chronic disease management and general nursing duties. This position is being offered as Full Time/Part Time/ Casual to support our current practice nurse who is works the other days of the week. Applicants must also be able to help out with relief work as needed to cover sick and holiday leave (in coordination with other nursing staff). The number of days per week for this position varies depending on operational requirements and may include flexible scheduling arrangements. Previous GP work is essential. A minimum of 1-2 years of General Practice nursing experience is required for this position. Minimum 1 year of General Practice nursing experience is required. Essential Criteria: Current RN registration with APHRA Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Current CPR/First Aid certificate Immunisation experience Minimum of 1 years of immunisation experience is required Flexibility and commitment to assist with holiday/leave cover An energetic, enthusiastic, friendly "can do" personality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Australian citizenship is required for this position Desirable Criteria: Previous work in General Practice, ideally with Best Practice software Have a pro-active attitude Chronic disease management experience Previous experience with Care Plans, Health Assessments, Pre-Employment Medicals, Asthma Cycle of Care, Diabetes Cycle of Care, Spirometry, ECG, wound care Duties include but are not limited to: Triage and patient assessment; Clinical patient care incl. wound care, immunisation, ear syringing, assistance with minor surgical procedures; Infection control; consumables ordering and stocking Cold Chain Management Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of practice software Demonstrated patient focused approach in service provision Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development Occasional reception relief Benefits & Culture Friendly and welcoming team environment Well established and respected family medical clinic Great work/life balance Ongoing professional development
