About the Role Contract Resources is stepping into another massive year, with multiple major projects and shutdowns scheduled across Australia in 2026. To support this growth, we are seeking experienced, motivated, and safety-focused Trade Assistants/Labourers to join our high-performing shutdown and project teams nationwide. Trade Assistants/Labourers play a critical role in supporting our specialised industrial services, working alongside skilled operators and trades to ensure shutdown activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, take pride in teamwork, and are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards across all CR & client sites. Our major shutdowns are scheduled from March 2026 through to the end of the year. To be successful in this role, you will be adaptable, proactive, and prepared to support operations wherever required to ensure project success, in addition to meeting the requirements outlined below. Points of Hire: Perth (WA), Adelaide (SA), Melbourne (VIC), Sydney (NSW), Canberra (ACT), Brisbane (QLD), Darwin (NT), and Hobart (TAS). Duties will include but not be limited to Carrying out general labouring and Trade Assistant duties across shutdown and project sites Assisting with industrial cleaning operations, including tank cleaning and confined space works Operating and driving vacuum trucks Performing sentry and standby duties to support confined space and high-risk activities Manual handling and physical tasks in line with site and safety requirements Working closely with operators, supervisors, and other crews to support daily shutdown activities Assisting across multiple work fronts and stepping in where required to meet operational demands Strictly adhering to Work Health & Safety procedures, including participation in JSAs, SWMS, Take 5s, and other safety documentation Demonstrating strong communication skills and situational awareness in high-risk environments Identifying hazards, reporting risks, and contributing to a proactive safety culture Assisting with High Pressure Water Blasting operations, vacuum loading, and waste management activities Requirements & Experience Needed 1-2 years of experience as a Trade Assistant/Labour within the Oil & Gas industry or a related sector Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends) Construction Induction (White Card – essential) Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential) Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential) Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (within 2 years – essential) Breathing Apparatus certificate (Highly desirable) MSMSS00018 – Operate High-Pressure Water Jetting System – Operator or Assistant ticket (desirable) MSMSS00020 – Vacuum Loading Operations (Desirable) Current Drivers Licence (HR/HC/MC - desirable) High Risk Work License – LF/Dogman/Rigger (advantageous) Full Australian work rights How to apply If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding role with a dynamic, growing organisation, please select the ‘Apply Now’ button to submit your application.
