Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life. The Checkers processing plant at Mt Magnet is currently undergoing a A$223M expansion and upgrade to an initial 4.3Mtpa capacity, with construction expected to be completed in the September 2027 quarter. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Open Pit Mine Geologist to join our Mt Magnet team. This is a hands-on production role where you will play a key part in grade control, reconciliation and ore optimisation across active open pit operations. You will work closely with Mining, Processing and Technical Services to ensure accurate geological interpretation and maximise ore recovery while maintaining strong safety and QA/QC standards. Key Responsibilities Daily production tracking, reconciliation and stockpile management Open pit mapping, RC chip logging and grade control supervision Overseeing sampling activities and maintaining QA/QC integrity Updating geological models and ore block interpretations Blast movement monitoring and validation Managing drillhole and production data with high accuracy Partnering with Mining to minimise dilution and optimise ore recovery Mentoring and supporting technicians and graduate geologists About You Degree qualified in Geology or Geoscience Demonstrated experience in an open pit production Mine Geologist role Strong understanding of gold mineralisation and OP mining practices Proficient in Surpac and Leapfrog Confident making production calls in a fast-paced environment Strong communicator who enjoys being visible and engaged on site The Role Offers 8 days on / 6 days off roster, day shift only Site-based role at Mt Magnet with residential or FIFO options Permanent, full-time opportunity within a long-life operation Competitive, industry-aligned remuneration Why Join Ramelius Genuine flexibility with part-time or full-time options Strong exploration pipeline and long mine life Stable gold producer with expansion underway Supportive, high-trust working environment Click Apply to submit your application or visit our website and select Careers to stay updated.
