Senior Quantity Surveyor - IFA & Commercial Advisory Focus Location: Darwin (Full-Time, On-Site Preferred) Remuneration: Darwin-Based: Up to $200,000 inclusive of superannuation FIFO (Considered): Up to approximately $150,000 superannuation Opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a consultancy delivering Independent Financial Auditor (IFA) and commercial advisory services across major government infrastructure projects in the Northern Territory. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role operating in a commercially rigorous, IFA-heavy environment. The priority is maintaining and strengthening delivery capability. This position is advisory-led with the following approximate workload split: 75% Independent Financial Auditor / Commercial Advisory 25% Cost Planning & Estimating The successful candidate must be capable of analysing contractor submissions, assessing entitlement and quantum, and producing structured written recommendations suitable for government stakeholders. Cost planning capability is required, but the dominant skillset must sit within commercial analysis and structured reasoning. Core Capability Requirements Extensive experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, or commercial management. Strong commercial reasoning and ability to separate contractual entitlement from quantum assessment. Experience preparing structured written outputs in a government or infrastructure context. Confidence analysing claims, variations, prolongation submissions, and cost positions. Ability to operate independently in a small, high-accountability team. Willingness to speak up when unclear and seek clarification early. Calmness and composure under commercial pressure. Contractor-side or consultancy experience is also welcomed, provided you bring strong structured thinking and a proactive, accountable approach to your work.
