For nearly two decades, BAI has connected business leaders, investors, and policymakers through premium conferences, CEO briefings, awards programs, and high-quality publishing. Based in Melbourne’s CBD, BAI operates with a small, collaborative team and a strong reputation across the Pacific business community. The Opportunity This Marketing & Events Manager role is primarily focused on event marketing — planning and delivering integrated campaigns that drive delegate acquisition, sponsor value, and brand visibility. You will also oversee key aspects of event delivery (in-person attendance, run-sheet support, on-the-day comms and stakeholder management) and bring generalist marketing capability to help BAI step up broader marketing activity across the year. You’ll partner with the Directors to craft and execute smart, audience-led campaigns, elevate BAI’s profile on LinkedIn and across owned/earned channels, and turn great content into measurable outcomes. It’s ideal for a confident B2B marketer who is both strategic and hands-on, a strong copywriter, and a calm operator who thrives in a small, high-performing team. What you’ll do Own end-to-end event marketing: campaign strategy, calendars, content, performance tracking and continuous improvement Oversight of 2 day conference in Brisbane and a number of smaller events in PNG and Australia Build and run high-impact LinkedIn and email programs; write compelling copy for invitations, landing pages and post-event reports Manage CRM/email marketing journeys, website/CMS updates and light design (Canva/Adobe) to keep campaigns moving Coordinate partners, media, and PR to maximise reach and conversion; measure and report on delegate, sponsor and revenue outcomes Oversee key aspects of event delivery (attendance, pre-event comms, on-the-day execution and wrap-ups) to ensure a seamless experience Contribute as a marketing all-rounder across publications, brand and content, helping BAI lift its general marketing presence What you’ll bring Demonstrated experience in B2B event marketing (conferences, awards, briefings) with tangible commercial results Excellent copywriting and content skills across LinkedIn, email and event communications Hands-on capability with CRM/email, CMS/website updates and basic design tools (e.g. Canva/Adobe) Track record delivering integrated campaigns across digital, social, partnerships and PR to hit growth targets Strong project management — budgets, suppliers, timelines — with meticulous attention to detail Professional, proactive approach; comfortable balancing strategy with sleeves-up execution Willingness to travel interstate and internationally (BAI books quality accommodation) Nice to have Experience shaping sponsor value propositions and partner marketing kits Familiarity with PNG/Pacific business communities or international event delivery Flexibility, Benefits and Growth Senior role with flexibility: open to compressed work week Hybrid working Opportunity to shape a respected event portfolio and take on broader marketing duties over time Interstate and international travel; visible work, real ownership and career growth as the role evolves For prompt consideration, click “apply now”, or for a confidential discussion: Kylie Kneale – 0403 948 842
