Location: Canberra Position Type: Ongoing | Full-time Salary: $117,662 - $141,853 As an Assistant Director, Finance you will play a pivotal part in the Agency’s delivery of a future Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure the systems acquired are fit for purpose, to manage the Agency’s finances and will also lead in systems transition, system administration and business and process mapping. Role responsibilities As an Assistant Director, Finance you will: Meet with Finance Stakeholders, document their business requirements and prepare business process maps Represent the Branch at project meetings and provide guidance to the financial requirement for the procurement Use your sound finance and systems knowledge to ensure the end product is fit for purpose Investigate and document the risks of the proposed system Lead in systems integration and transition and provide relevant documentation Provide ad-hoc support including but not limited to financial corrections, accruals and journals, project related support such as exception reports, provision of various financial reports and general financial queries. Your skills and capabilities We invite applications from people with the following experience, skills and attributes: Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to use a positive and proactive approach to problem solving Establish and foster relationships in order to deliver high quality advice and support to stakeholders that may include Senior Executive Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills Desirable skills and experience Sound knowledge of the Australian Government financial framework, principles, policies and practices Accounting diploma/degree qualification or similar discipline (highly desirable) Demonstrated experience in working on different financial applications/software.
