The Opportunity This is a leadership opportunity for a senior cyber professional who wants to shape cyber maturity not just maintain it. You will combine hands-on technical delivery with advisory influence, guiding clients through security uplift programs while strengthening internal standards and capability. This role blends delivery, governance, advisory, and mentoring, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both deep technical work and stakeholder engagement. The Role As a Senior Security Consultant, you will lead the design and implementation of security controls across client environments, aligning solutions to recognised frameworks and government standards. You will act as a technical leader, escalation point, and trusted advisor; translating complex cyber concepts into practical, client-friendly guidance. Lead design and implementation of cyber security controls Deliver large-scale Essential Eight uplift programs Scope and plan security initiatives across cloud and on-prem Lead ISO 27001 compliance and certification activities Conduct security assessments and framework alignment Provide governance, risk and compliance advisory Mentor engineers and uplift team capability Prepare executive-level reports and recommendations Act as escalation point for incidents and investigations The Ideal Person You are a senior cyber professional with strong consulting or MSP experience, confident leading both technical delivery and client conversations. You will have significant experience in cyber security uplift or consulting with proven Essential Eight implementation experience and strong working knowledge of frameworks such as ISM, PSPF, SOCI, NIST CSF, DISP, ISO 27001 or SOC 2 You will have experience with tools such as EDR, SIEM, IAM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and vulnerability management with strong Microsoft 365 and cloud security expertise (Azure and/or AWS). You will have experience running workshops and scoping initiatives with strong written and executive-level communication skills.
