Senior Cook – Full Time Location: Millmerran, QLD Remuneration: Based on qualifications and experience Contract: 76 hours per fortnight We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Cook to join our team at Yallambee, our warm and welcoming 60-bed residential aged care home proudly serving the Millmerran community in regional Queensland. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment, including correct food storage and handling Build positive and collaborative relationships with staff and residents Monitor stock levels and coordinate food and supply ordering Contribute to seasonal menu planning and continuous improvement of food services Essential Requirements Certificate III / IV in Commercial Cookery, or Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Minimum 12 months’ experience in residential aged care Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and a team-focused approach Two recent managerial referees Compassionate, patient and positive attitude About McLean Care McLean Care is a respected not-for-profit provider delivering person-centred community, retirement and aged care services across NSW and QLD.
