Our kitchen Staff masterfully blend traditional recipes with contemporary flair, using only the finest ingredients to create dishes that leave a lasting impression. Italian Forchetta looking for a full-time Cook for our restaurant to join our highly talented team. Roles & Responsibilities: ·Prepare and cook Italian dishes in accordance with dietary requirements, including allergies and special requests, using traditional Italian cooking methods and recipes. ·Select, inspect, and source high-quality Italian ingredients and verify freshness and authenticity before preparation. ·Prepare and handcraft classic Italian components such as fresh pasta dough, sauces and pizza bases following established recipes and techniques. ·Examine all prepared food items to ensure flavour balance, texture, and presentation reflect the quality expected in authentic Italian cuisine. ·Plate Italian dishes with attention to traditional presentation standards and portion sizes. ·Assist Chef in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal ingredients, regional specialties, and daily specials. ·Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, meats, seafood, and herbs consistent with Italian culinary standards. ·Support the Chef in daily kitchen operations, coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure quality, timing, and service flow. ·Receive, inspect, and correctly store stock in clean, temperature-controlled storage areas in line with food safety and Italian heritage ingredient requirements. ·Uphold strict workplace health and safety regulations, maintaining clean and sanitized workstations using approved cleaning agents and techniques. ·Demonstrate proficient use of knives and cutting techniques for Italian cuisine. ·Season, marinate, and slow-cook Italian meats and vegetables with authentic herbs, olive oil, and traditional spice combinations. ·Prepare and mix Italian sauces and garnishes, balancing flavours to achieve classic tastes integral to the cuisine. Skills and Experience: ·Certificate IV qualification is required. ·The candidate must have at least 1 years’ experience in busy restaurant. ·Friendly, positive & approachable attitude. ·To be energetic & motivated. ·Able to work under pressure.
