The Illuminate Scholars Program (Years 7–12) provides personalised academic support for Redlands students as they develop strong study habits, assessment preparation strategies, and independent learning skills. With small coaching groups (1:5 ratio), Illuminate Coaches play a key role in guiding students through home learning, subject-specific challenges, and long-term goal setting within a supportive and structured environment. We are seeking enthusiastic, high-achieving university students or recent graduates to join our team as casual Academic Coaches . This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people, have strong subject knowledge, and are passionate about fostering academic confidence and independence in others. About the Role Hours: Monday to Thursday, 3.30–7.30pm (one day or multiple as negotiated) Location: Level 3, Redlands Learning Hub You will work closely with the Independent Learning Coordinator to deliver learner-centred, subject-specific academic coaching across Years 7–12. What You’ll Do: Support students with home learning, assessment preparation and revision Provide subject-specific guidance aligned with the NSW and IB curriculum Help students develop organisation, planning and self-management strategies Run workshops Work with small groups (maximum 5 students per coach) Contribute to a positive, encouraging learning environment We’re Looking For: Recent graduates or current university students with strong academic achievement Subject strength in one or more key learning areas (e.g., Mathematics, English, Sciences, Humanities, Languages, IB subjects) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine interest in supporting student development Why Join Illuminate?
