About the Role: As a Trainer and Assessor with Wilmar Sugar, you will help develop and support our people by delivering practical, engaging training and assessment that builds skills, confidence, and ensures compliance across our sites. A key focus over the next 12 months will be progressing and maintaining Verification of Competency (VOC) requirements and improving completion rates across six priority online courses. You will work closely with site leaders and stakeholders to schedule and deliver training, respond to language, literacy, and numeracy needs, and contribute to the development and improvement of training resources. You will maintain your qualifications, support project work as directed, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, with clear pathways to upskill and grow your career. Safety is central to this role. You will promote safe work practices, identify hazards, use PPE appropriately, and report incidents or near misses, helping to strengthen a proactive safety culture. Role Responsibilities: Deliver training and assessments: Run practical, hands-on training and Verification of Competency (VOC) sessions that help people build skills, confidence, and meet compliance requirements. Keep things on track : Maintain accurate training records, track progress, complete reports, and help schedule compliance training across sites. Shape and improve resources: Update and develop training materials to keep them relevant, engaging, and aligned with legislation and company standards. Work with the team: Collaborate with site leaders and colleagues, provide advice and support, and contribute to projects that make a real difference. Support people and safety : Encourage safe work practices, maintain your qualifications, and actively support your team to achieve high standards together. About you: We are looking for someone who brings: What You’ll Bring: You hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; a Queensland “C” Class driver’s licence; and possess, or be willing to obtain, qualifications in High-Risk Work licences, Earthmoving equipment, LVSR/CPR, Confined Space Entry and Safe Work at Heights Confident communicator: You enjoy presenting to groups, explain things clearly, and think on your feet when situations change. Great with people: You naturally build strong relationships, coach others, and influence in a positive, supportive way. Organised and reliable: You can plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks while keeping attention to detail. Desirable skills: You may already have, or be open to gaining, a WHSQ Assessor registration and accredited assessment capability; proficiency in MS Office; and any other relevant Industry qualifications.
