We are currently seeking a motivated Accountant to join our well-established and experienced WA Finance team to provide hands-on high quality financial and management reporting to enable accurate & informed decision making for the successful performance of the region. This position is well supported with full training and mentoring. Regular visits to our construction sites are encouraged to see firsthand what constructing a better future looks like and to have a full understanding of what underlies the management reporting. The role includes many diverse activities relying very heavily on strong teamwork and having some fun along the way. Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, this is a key role in a finance team that covers a wide range of responsibilities from the management of purchase orders and invoices and general ledger reconciliations to month end reporting for the region. The position sits across $2b in value of construction projects and is a varied and dynamic role with many stakeholders. Together with the appreciation of the importance of meeting deadlines and attention to detail, you will be a competent verbal and written communicator. The role requires good accounting knowledge and a high level of analytical skill. Ideally, you will have 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role and working towards professional qualifications (CPA/CA). Experience in the construction sector is an advantage but not essential. You will enjoy a high volume and high paced workflow. Multiplex uses a sophisticated integrated ERP - IFS Cloud. System knowledge is an advantage but not required. Strong MS Excel skills are a prerequisite.
