Join Our Finance Team as a Corporate Accountant – Risk Division Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take on a strategic role in a dynamic environment? We’re seeking a Corporate Accountant to support our Risk Division, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This is a key opportunity to lead financial operations and contribute to high-impact decision-making. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you’ll be responsible for: • Systems accounting and financial control • General ledger administration and treasury operations • Reinsurance Accounting • Managing the investments portfolio • Preparing consolidated financial statements and annual reports • Management accounting and Month end reporting • Supervising 2 x Assistant accountants What You Bring We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strategic insight: • Strong knowledge of insurance accounting standards and their implementation • Project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives forward • Proven experience producing consolidated annual financial statements • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities • Strong time management and organizational skills • Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Your Experience To succeed in this role, you’ll need: • CA or CPA qualifications with 5 years’ experience post qualification • Familiarity with accounting and banking software • Experience in the insurance industry • Understanding of APRA and ASIC regulatory requirements A little on life at Capricorn Joining our community is about more than just a job, so here’s what’s in it for you: • Work flexibility – We’re all unique, and so are the ways in which we work.
