About AVIVO We work in partnership with people and families who need individualized support services due to disability, ageing or mental ill-health. Our Support Workers work alongside people from all walks of life, giving, helping them live life the way they choose. We’re looking for a reliable support worker to join a small team providing personalized care in Quinns Rock area. You'll be supporting one adult who lives with a complex neurological condition and is non-verbal so calm, clear communication and patience are essential. They enjoy quiet routines, community outings in their electric wheelchair, watching sport and moves and staying connected to their culture. Shifts include: This will be a 2/2 roster ongoing Monday Personal care 6am-9am Tuesday Personal care 6am-9am Wednesday Personal care 6am-9am (6am-8am rotating) High Care 6pm-7pm Thursday Personal care 6am-8am (6am-9am rotating) Friday High Care 3:45pm-7pm Sundays fortnightly rotating High Care - 1 week is 6pm-7pm High Care - 1 week is 9am-1:30pm and 6pm-7pm What You’ll Do: You'll be part of one person's daily life to live safely, confidently and independently Personal care, including bowel and catheter care Medication administration Manual handling including hoisting Domestic assistance and home support Social and Community access using wheelchair taxis We’ll support you with comprehensive hands-on training , buddy shifts, and clinical guidance to ensure you're confident and capable before working independently.
