About the Role Our client is seeking a hands-on DC Safety Advisor to partner with distribution centre operations to reduce critical risks, prevent workplace injuries, and embed practical, behaviour-led safety initiatives across multiple sites. You will work closely with DC leadership to ensure safety governance, critical risk controls, and operational compliance are consistently applied, while fostering a positive, collaborative safety culture. This is an operationally embedded role, providing opportunities to influence and uplift safety practices across 2 x Brisbane and an Auckland DC. Key Responsibilities Partner with DC operations to assess critical risks and establish robust control measures Lead safety governance, compliance checks, and data-driven reporting across DCs Support near miss investigations and competency verification processes Improve documentation, SOPs, and operational safety processes Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, dangerous goods, and other regulatory obligations Build strong working relationships with DC teams to influence and support safe behaviours Skills & Experience Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in safety, preferably in distribution, logistics, or industrial/blue collar environments Certificate IV WHS preferred; ICAM training desirable Practical experience with mobile plant, manual handling, and operational DC environments Ability to work autonomously and influence operational leaders Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, relationship-driven approach Key Outcomes Effective implementation of traffic management plans and critical risk controls Consistent and compliant near miss reporting and investigations Improved safety procedures, documentation, and governance practices Continued incident-free performance in Brisbane and uplifted safety standards in Auckland Apply Now: Please submit your CV via this job or, or if you have any other questions, email me at AnthonyB@SDE.com.au Six Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
