About the Role We’re seeking diligent and safety-conscious individuals to join our grain handling team at Dooen. Your primary focus will be on quality control — sorting, inspecting, and managing grain quality using modern testing equipment and computer systems. You’ll work closely with customers and site staff to ensure accurate documentation and seamless operations. This position is perfect for those who are detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and excel at working efficiently under pressure. You’ll also work closely with site staff and play a key role in grain movement, storage, and export readiness. Key Responsibilities Perform grain classification duties, including sorting, sampling, testing, and inspecting grain to ensure it meets quality standards. Maintain accurate records and use computer systems to document grain quality and movement. Deliver excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with clients and team members. Monitor grain storage conditions to prevent quality deterioration. Support rail and road transport operations through coordination and timely out turning activities. Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safe work practices. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks under pressure. Assist with training seasonal staff on grain quality processes and site procedures as needed. Assist with other tasks across the group as directed. About You Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality. Comfortable using systems and software applications for data entry and reporting. A “can do” attitude paired with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment. Safety-focused mindset with a willingness to follow and promote safe work practices. Flexible and reliable with a proactive team-oriented approach. Available for rotating shifts, including weekends during busy periods.
