About the role We have multiple exciting opportunities for Casual Venue Services Officers to join our dynamic Programming and Operations team. In this customer‑facing role, you’ll support the delivery of high‑quality events and venue operations, ensuring our patrons enjoy a safe, welcoming and professional experience. You’ll assist with day‑to‑day venue activities, including customer service, event setup and pack‑down, basic technical support, and ensuring compliance with WHS and venue standards. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role suited to someone who enjoys variety, works well in a team, and is comfortable working flexibly across a 7‑day roster. In this role, some of your key accountabilities will be: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, guests, and stakeholders during venue operations. Oversee and monitor events in progress to ensure smooth delivery and a positive customer experience. Provide excellent customer service and always ensure the safe and appropriate use of venues. Set up venues for events, including furniture, layouts, and basic AV equipment. Liaise with staff and contractors regarding technical, production, and maintenance requirements. Supervise onsite staff such as cleaners, security, and food & beverage personnel when required. Provide venue access and ensure venues are properly secured, locked, and alarmed after use. The successful candidate will have Certificate III in Hospitality or demonstrated experience working in a similar customer facing, event, venue, or hospitality environment. Current driver’s licence. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. Proven customer service experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work flexibly across a 7‑day roster, including weekends and evenings. Basic understanding of event production and technical equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) responsibilities. Confident computer literacy and ability to use standard business software.
