About the role Provide enterprise-level leadership, assurance and oversight of governance, compliance and risk management across Fujitsus Defence line of business. The role ensures that contractual, regulatory, security, assurance and ethical obligations are met, embedded and continuously improved, enabling trusted delivery to Defence customers while supporting sustainable growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain a robust governance framework aligned to Defence, Federal Government and Fujitsu corporate requirements. Provide independent oversight and assurance across delivery, operations, security, commercial and financial compliance. Chair or lead governance forums, assurance reviews and compliance checkpoints as required. Ensure alignment between Defence programme governance and broader Fujitsu enterprise governance models. Oversee compliance with Defence contractual obligations, DISP requirements, legislative and regulatory frameworks. Act as a key point of accountability for audit readiness, compliance reporting and external reviews. Partner with Legal, Security, Risk and Internal Audit to ensure obligations are understood, embedded and monitored. Identify, assess and manage compliance risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution. Lead the identification, assessment and treatment of operational, contractual, regulatory and reputational risks. Maintain Defence risk registers and assurance artefacts, ensuring risks are actively managed and owned. Provide expert advice to senior leaders on risk appetite, mitigation strategies and compliance impacts. Requirements and Experience: Extensive senior-level experience in governance, compliance, risk or assurance within Defence, Federal Government or highly regulated environments Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying Defence contracts, regulatory frameworks and assurance requirements Proven ability to operate at executive and board-level, providing independent oversight and advice Experience engaging with external auditors, regulators and government stakeholders Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and governance best practice Hold a current or reinstatable AGSVA security clearance Why Fujitsu?
