About the role The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Defence Infrastructure Operations and associated practices, ensuring a community of resources is appropriately structured, skilled, and ready to deliver high-quality, customer-centric outcomes in an agile and highly regulated environment. Delivery is achieved through a combination of direct and matrixed teams across geographically distributed locations. The role ensures services are delivered securely, reliably, and efficiently to meet or exceed Defence client requirements, contractual obligations, and Fujitsu operational standards, including support for mission-critical and 24x7 services. Responsibilities: Own end-to-end accountability for Defence ICT Operations across all service towers and delivery models, including national and 24x7 services. Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations, SLA targets, security requirements, and quality standards. Act as the senior delivery representative and escalation point for Defence ICT services. Establish and maintain consistent operational governance, delivery frameworks, and performance management across Defence services. Identify, manage, and resolve operational risks and service issues in accordance with agreed escalation and incident management frameworks. Establish and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships with Defence clients and internal stakeholders. Participate in and influence client strategic planning to align service delivery with current and emerging Defence needs. Ensure effective contract governance, service reviews, and engagement forums are in place and operating effectively. Provide practice leadership for Defence ICT Operations, ensuring the right mix of skills, capacity, and capability to meet demand. Lead workforce planning, recruitment, resource allocation, scheduling, and capacity management across Defence services. Requirements and Experience: Significant senior leadership experience (typically 10 years) in ICT Operations or managed services environments Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-tower ICT Operations Demonstrated experience delivering services within Defence, Federal Government, or highly regulated environments Strong background in IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL-aligned practices Experience leading geographically dispersed teams, including 24x7 service models Proven experience acting as senior escalation lead for complex service and client issues Strong commercial and financial management capability Hold a current or reinstatable AGSVA security clearance Why Fujitsu?
