Quality Advisor – Energy & Pipeline Projects | FIFO Surat Basin (14:7) FIFO ex-Brisbane | Major Gas Gathering Program | Permanent Opportunity We’re recruiting a dedicated Quality Advisor to support delivery of a major gas infrastructure program in the Surat Basin. Working on a 14:7 FIFO roster from Brisbane, you’ll be embedded in a high-performing construction team, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality frameworks, and client standards across all phases of project delivery. This is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who thrives in the field and understands what high-performing quality control looks like on a fast-paced pipeline or energy project. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day implementation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and hold points Conduct inspections and audits on welding, trenching, pipe laying, and reinstatement activities Support site teams to ensure work complies with engineering drawings, project specifications, and codes (e.g. AS/NZS, API, ISO) Manage non-conformances (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality reporting workflows Liaise closely with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain quality compliance Maintain QA/QC documentation for internal records and client handover packs Promote a positive quality culture on-site through education, toolbox talks, and engagement What We’re Looking For: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a quality role on pipeline, infrastructure, or energy projects Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation in a construction environment Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g. AS2885, ISO 9001, API 1104) Strong eye for detail and ability to proactively identify quality risks Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams Experience with digital QA systems (e.g. Procore, Aconex, SmartSheet) highly regarded Relevant qualifications in Quality, Engineering, or a related trade discipline Why Join?
