About the role The Legal Counsel role is pivotal to the organisation. You will provide commercial, practical and strategic advice and support to the business in a broad range of legal areas to assist the organisation in pursuing its strategic objectives. The key responsibilities of the role will include: Reviewing, negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial contracts. Providing clear legal guidance on corporate, commercial and operational issues. Advising the business on a range of legal issues including M&A, marketing, intellectual property, information technology, safety and employment matters. About you You will have at least 5 years’ experience with a reputable law firm and/or in-house experience. Strong negotiating and drafting skills are essential. Construction or construction adjacent and procurement experience is desirable but not essential. You will be a confident and clear communicator who is able to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. A commercially aware candidate with a pragmatic, practical approach and a good sense of humour is sought.
