Centre Manager | Thomastown About the Role We’re seeking an experienced and values‑driven Centre Manager to lead our Thomastown centre. This full‑time role is suited to someone who brings strong operational leadership, a growth mindset and is passionate about building high‑quality practice, supporting teams to grow, and creating a positive, stable environment for children, families, and staff. You’ll work closely with an accomplished Educational Leader and be supported by Journey’s wider leadership and support teams. This role focuses on people leadership, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement. Our Centre Thomastown is one of our well‑established centres, offering places for up to 80 children. With strong roots in the local community, the centre is known for its warm culture and long‑standing, trusted relationships with families. We’re proud of the experienced and committed team already in place and are looking for a leader who is confident stepping into an established environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with the NQF and National Law Maintain and strengthen high‑quality standards across education, care, and practice Work in partnership with the Educational Leader to support pedagogy and reflective practice Build, guide, and develop a committed, engaged staff team Foster strong relationships with families and the local community Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children and educators About You Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Centre Manager Diploma in Early Childhood Education or higher (ACECQA‑recognised) Demonstrated ability to maintain high‑quality standards and lead successful outcomes Strong people leadership and communication skills Calm, confident, and values‑led leadership style Ideally local to the Thomastown area, with reliable availability for a full‑time role Why You’ll Love Journey At Journey, leadership growth is intentional and supported.
