Work on fast-moving $200k-$2m civil packages with strong win potential Autonomy to run tenders your way - no micromanagement Real influence over bid strategy, margins and pipeline growth A growing contractor with a strong track record of delivering subcontract packages to Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders is expanding into Brisbane and seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to establish and drive the local estimating function. The business delivers projects across: Retaining walls School carparks Early works & civil packages Utilities & pipelines (including NBN) Community & private sector civil projects Ground-up construction (childcare, medical centres, service stations) With QLD licensing secured and a strong delivery capability, the focus is on securing projects in the $200k-$2m range . The Role This is a pivotal hire within the Queensland operation. You will take ownership of: Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions Reviewing drawings, specifications, and BOQs Quantity take-offs and cost planning Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities Sourcing and managing tenders via EstimateOne (essential) Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing Supporting procurement and early-stage delivery The Director will initially project manage works while building the team, providing a clear pathway into a Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager role as the operation scales.
