We’re seeking a Senior Governance Officer to help manage a growing workload and support key compliance and governance functions across the organisation. About the Role Reporting to the Head of Governance, you will join a team of Governance Officers and play a central role in improving governance standards, strengthening decision‑making frameworks, and supporting organisational compliance. What You’ll Be Doing Managing and advising on privacy, probity, and policy development. Handling complex complaints in accordance with governance standards. Supporting legislative compliance and governance processes across the organisation. Assisting with information handling and access‑to‑information processes (GIPA exposure desirable but not essential). Preparing written reports, advice, and governance documentation. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure sound governance practices. What We’re Looking For 3 years experience in Governance, ideally within Local or State Government. Strong capability in privacy management, probity, complaints handling, and policy work. Confident communicator with excellent judgement and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines. Experience with GIPA is desirable but not mandatory.
