Permanent opporutnity Immediate start Melbourne offices Green Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Senior Network Engineer to join one of our delivery partners based in their VIC offices. This position will end-to-end consultation from requirements, solution design through to implementation, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully deliver capability and maintain high availability. The Network Engineer will join an established program of work and be responsible for the design, build, deployment and support of complex network solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for Network Engineer with strong enterprise project experience in the full Cisco platform suite. Responsibilities: Experience across complex network environments specifically on the Cisco platform Strong expertise with network optimisation technologies – Cisco, SD WAN, Riverbed etc Routing, switching and Cisco FTD and Fortinet firewalls, LAN/WAN & managed network environments Experience with wireless solutions - Meraki and/or Sophos Troubleshooting deployed networks, packet capture analysis Assisting in general DevOpsPlatform Engineering tasking Good written communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills Strong technical knowledge with solid deployment experience using carrier protocols i.e. BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and QoS. Analyse and assess security incidents and escalate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance Facilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant procedures Requirements: 10 years professional experience as a Network Engineer and data centre technologies Experience providing design, implementation and configuration of networking products in SD LAN, WAN & Internet services environments. Understanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous. Knowledge of cloud computing orchestrations and application architectures. Proven experience planning and delivering significant network solutions and integrating into large infrastructure project Proven network & IP design experience background. Networking: In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and Address Management, firewalling, load balancers, Security trust zones, Management Networks, VPN and network design.
