The Role We are currently looking for Associates or Senior Associates with 2 - 8 years PAE to join our corporate team in Perth. This position will work closely with experienced and respected Partners, providing legal advice across a wide spectrum of some of the most high profile matters in the Perth market and acting for a variety of clients across various industries. Exposure to transactional work (including capital markets work) and corporate advisory will be highly regarded for this position. Matters will range from mergers and acquisitions, corporate, commercial and strategic advisory work, IPOs and secondary capital raisings. The work would include: M&A transactions; Equity & debt capital markets; Corporate advisory; Joint ventures; Commercial arrangements; Corporate governance; Restructures; and General commercial and corporate contracts. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to: Be ambitious and driven, possess a strong willingness to learn, have a 'hands-on' approach, with great relationship-building and communication skills. Have solid experience and exposure to M&A transactions as well as a strong background in corporate advisory work, preferably through experience gained in mid to top-tier firms. Be able to work collaboratively in a team, including engaging with other specialist practice areas within the firm. Have solid experience with legal due diligence, including drafting due diligence reports. Experience with reviewing and drafting contracts. Provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice to the firm's corporate clients. Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills to varied situations. Have excellent attention to detail, backed up by strong academics.
