Cost Controller Tier 1 Mining Company | 12-Month Contract Hourly Rate: $72–$94 per hour Contract Length: 12 months Experience Level: 3–7 years About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Cost Controller to join a Tier 1 mining company on a 12-month contract. This role will play a key part in supporting project and operational cost control, ensuring strong commercial governance, accurate forecasting, and reliable financial reporting. You will work closely with project, commercial, and operational teams to drive cost performance and support informed decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities Deliver end-to-end cost control activities including cost tracking, variance analysis, accruals, and reporting Support contract administration activities such as compliance, variations, payment processes, correspondence, and record keeping Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and estimates, identifying emerging risks and cost trends early Prepare and maintain high-quality commercial documentation including cost reports, change registers, cashflow summaries, claims, and audit-ready records Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across cost control systems, reporting, and commercial processes About You 3–7 years’ experience in a cost control or commercial role, ideally within mining, resources, projects, or operations Solid understanding of contracts, claims management, commercial processes, and financial governance Strong forecasting, estimating, and financial analysis skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP or project systems such as SAP (or similar) Qualifications (Desirable) Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Project Management, or a related discipline What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rate of $72–$94 per hour 12-month contract with a Tier 1 mining organisation Exposure to complex projects and a high-performing commercial environment If this opportunity aligns with your experience, click Apply to submit your resume.
